Crypto Operations Associate - APAC

As a Crypto Operations Associate for Alpaca's APAC region, you'll join a 100% distributed and remote crypto team reporting directly to the Global Director of Crypto Operations. You'll manage critical daily operations for a leading agent-first brokerage infrastructure serving over 10 million brokerage accounts across 40 countries.

What you'll do

• Monitor and conduct daily surveillance of all customer activity
• Execute daily operational tasks including trading, new account setup, and cash management functions
• Handle cryptocurrency trading executions and exceptions such as errors and corrections
• Assist with customer onboarding, including KYC verification and account approval
• Review general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and perform reconciliation
• Support the Anti-Money Laundering Program and investigations related to suspected suspicious activity
• Drive impactful changes across workflows, policies, and tools
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external partners
• Execute ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

What you bring

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading, or cryptocurrency operations role
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or a strong desire to learn
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment
• Ownership mindset and enthusiasm for taking on new responsibilities
