DevOps Engineer (F/M/*)

As a DevOps Engineer at Amber Group, you'll help scale Europe's business AI platform. Amber Group is Europe's largest AI startup based in Aachen, building intelligent agents and business AI solutions that help mid-market companies automate knowledge work and streamline operations. You'll own infrastructure efficiency, deployment reliability, and operational excellence across a cloud-native, Kubernetes-based platform serving customers across Europe.

What you'll do

• Automate product deployments and internal setup processes to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
• Work with the development team to improve deployments, analyse technical issues, and resolve them
• Help develop, implement, and document security measures for customers and external audits
• Support the operation and scaling of deployments across different customer environments, including large databases, containers, and cloud-native tooling
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis to restore services and minimise downtime
• Operate and improve monitoring and alerting systems so problems are caught and resolved early

What you bring

• Practical experience with Linux-based systems
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating workloads in cloud environments
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native technologies
• Understanding of development and operations workflows; experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, or commitment to deepen your knowledge
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Prometheus
• Clear and reliable communication in German and English with different stakeholders
• Foundational programming knowledge and comfort with Java or Python
• Reliability in completing tasks and taking ownership of your responsibilities with team support

Nice to have

• Windows Server experience
• Familiarity with multiple cloud providers
• Experience with Rust or Go
