Experienced Trader (Hong Kong or New York)

As an Experienced Trader at Auros, you join one of the largest cryptocurrency market-makers globally, facilitating 3-4% of daily volumes across 50+ venues. Based in Hong Kong or New York (in office), you'll collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers to refine trading strategies, identify profitable opportunities, and optimise our trading systems and infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with quantitative researchers, developers and other traders to refine existing strategies and develop new trading models
• Investigate market trends and real-time data to analyse, inform, and adapt trading strategies
• Manage risk effectively within the trading portfolio, demonstrating a strong understanding of risk and reward patterns
• Proactively research new market opportunities and pricing inefficiencies, utilising data analysis and market microstructure insights
• Optimise trading algorithms and infrastructure to enhance performance and efficiency
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our trading systems and processes

What you bring

• 2+ years of proven algorithmic trading experience with a track record of profitability, ideally in derivatives (D1) and/or options
• A strong, demonstrable hunger for trading and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative reasoning skills, with a superior ability to identify and interpret patterns in large datasets
• Ability to make quick and decisive decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, performing successfully under minimal supervision
• A proactive attitude in identifying and pursuing new trading opportunities
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL or similar languages for data analysis, strategy development, and scripting
• A competitive yet cooperative attitude, dedicated to continuous improvement within a team setting
• Passion for trading, blockchain and cryptocurrency
