FSO Audit - Blockchain Developer - Senior

As a Senior Blockchain Developer in EY's FSO Audit team, you join the Digital Asset Research Center, an innovative group of software developers, financial auditors and technology consultants dedicated to developing the technical understanding, methodology and tools required to deliver Assurance services to companies that hold and transact in digital assets. You will research public blockchains, smart contracts and digital assets, and serve clients across the digital asset ecosystem including exchanges, custodians, miners/validators, payment providers, investment managers and broker-dealers.

What you'll do

• Develop full-stack software including front-end and back-end components
• Create technical documentation and memos for complex digital asset topics
• Collaborate with financial auditors to design and implement techniques to test financial statement assertions relating to digital assets
• Solve novel technical problems and provide innovative solutions to support client solutions and core product offerings
• Stay current on emerging leading practices in the digital asset space and identify where and how new practices can be applied
• Work effectively with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds in a collaborative, inclusive environment

What you bring

• Three to five years of related work experience in application development
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or a related field
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps)
• Demonstrable experience with JavaScript/TypeScript development such as Node.js, Express, React, Angular and similar
• Experience with Ethereum including Solidity, or other protocols such as Hyperledger or Solana
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Knowledge of database technologies including both NoSQL and SQL architectures
• Proficiency with Git or other version control and source code management software
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Podman
• Experience with DevOps and cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• Prior development experience in Agile teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
• Access to reliable transportation to and from EY offices and client sites; a driver's license is strongly recommended

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions, especially in the digital asset ecosystem
• Accounting and financial auditing experience

What we offer

• Base salary range: $102,500 to $187,900 across most US locations; $122,900 to $213,400 for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento)
