FSO Audit - Blockchain Developer - Senior

As a Senior Blockchain Developer in the FSO Audit practice at EY, you join the Digital Asset Research Center, an innovative team of software developers, financial auditors and technology consultants developing the technical understanding, methodology and tools to deliver Assurance services to companies in the digital asset ecosystem. You will research public blockchains, smart contracts and digital assets, and serve clients including exchanges, custodians, miners/validators, payment providers, investment managers and broker-dealers.

What you'll do

• Perform full-stack software development including front-end and back-end work
• Create technical documentation and memos for complex digital asset topics
• Collaborate with financial auditors to design and implement techniques to test financial statement assertions relating to digital assets
• Solve novel technical problems and provide innovative solutions to support client implementations and core product offerings
• Keep up to date on emerging leading practices in the digital asset space and identify where and how new practices can be applied
• Work effectively with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment

What you bring

• Three to five years of related prior work experience in application development
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or related field
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps)
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript development such as Node.js, Express, React, Angular or similar
• Experience with Ethereum including Solidity, or other protocols such as Hyperledger or Solana
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Knowledge of both NoSQL and SQL database technologies
• Proficiency with Git or other version control/source code management software
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Podman
• Knowledge of DevOps and cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• Previous development experience in Agile teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations
• Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
• Access to reliable transportation to and from the EY office and client sites, with a driver's license strongly recommended

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions, especially in the digital asset ecosystem
• Accounting and financial auditing experience

What we offer

• Base salary range of $102,500 to $187,900 across most US geographic locations; $122,900 to $213,400 for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento)
