Internal Auditor - Crypto Payments

As an Internal Auditor at a $1bn fintech and digital assets company, you review how the business operates end-to-end, identify risks and inefficiencies, strengthen internal controls, and help the company scale responsibly. This is not a traditional third-party financial audit role-external auditors handle that already. Instead, you focus on how the business actually works, spot weaknesses in processes and systems, and recommend practical improvements across banking, payments, stablecoins, and digital assets.

What you'll do

• Review how key business and operational processes work end-to-end
• Identify risks, inefficiencies and control gaps
• Assess and test internal controls
• Investigate the root causes behind issues
• Recommend practical improvements
• Work with teams to strengthen processes and systems
• Track findings and remediation through to completion
• Help build a stronger, more scalable operating environment

What you bring

• Experience in Internal Audit, Operational Audit, Internal Controls, Risk and Controls, or Controls Assurance
• Background ideally from fintech, payments, banking, financial services, or another regulated environment
• Ability to look beyond checklists and understand how a business actually works
• Skill in identifying weaknesses, challenging constructively, and helping implement practical improvements

Nice to have

• CIA, CISA, ACA or ACCA certification
