IT Support Engineer

As an IT Support Engineer at OKX, you'll manage the daily operations and maintenance of company IT infrastructure across multiple global offices. You'll support a diverse ecosystem of devices and systems, from employee laptops (macOS and Windows) to office infrastructure like IP phones, video conferencing, and access control, while identifying and implementing AI and automation opportunities to improve service delivery.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain company laptops (macOS primary focus, plus Windows), mobile devices (iOS and Android), IP phones, and desktop IT equipment, including device imaging, setup, software and hardware installation, configuration, updates, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Maintain office IT systems including IP phones, video conferencing and wireless presentation systems, printers, CCTV, and access control; support server room operations, structured cabling, UPS systems, switches, and access points with routine inspections and monitoring of infrastructure availability and performance
• Perform daily monitoring and testing of office Wi-Fi, wired networks, and VPN connections, and troubleshoot network-related issues
• Identify valuable AI and automation opportunities in collaboration with teams, deliver end-to-end solutions, and drive adoption through demonstrations, training, and hands-on support; measure impact and use AI tools to improve troubleshooting, ticket handling, documentation, and reporting
• Support regional offices with IT rollouts, new office setups, and on-site project delivery, travelling when required and providing technical support and coordination throughout implementation
• Create and maintain IT knowledge-sharing documents, SOPs, and the service desk knowledge base; implement Global IT strategies, technical standards, and guidelines while improving employees' IT service experience and satisfaction
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate equipment procurement, installation, maintenance, and technical support with external service providers

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering, networking, or a related field
• At least 3 years of working experience in IT support, IT engineering, or a similar hands-on technical role; experience in large IT companies is preferred
• Proven operation and maintenance experience across Windows, macOS, WiFi networks, VPN networks, and smart office systems
• Basic knowledge of server and network administration including Windows Server or Linux, virtualisation, backup and restore, switches, VLANs, WiFi controllers, firewalls, and VPN
• Demonstrated software engineering ability with strong Python (or equivalent language) plus PowerShell or Bash; comfortable with Git and code review; able to build, test, document, and maintain internal tools and integrations against REST APIs (be ready to share a portfolio, GitHub profile, or examples of tools you've built)
• Hands-on experience as an AI practitioner with daily use of AI assistants (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) and effective prompting skills; practical experience building AI agents, AI skills, or MCP integrations
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to turn unclear requirements into practical, deliverable solutions; strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Fluency in Malay, English, and Mandarin (listening and speaking)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, accommodate flexible working hours including evenings and weekends, and travel to regional offices when required
