KYC/KYB Analyst - Japanese Speaker

As a KYC/KYB Analyst at Binance, you join the Customer Service team to handle client onboarding inquiries and ensure compliance with Know Your Customer and Know Your Business requirements. You work directly with clients, internal stakeholders, and compliance teams to gather supporting evidence, assess risks, and process identity approval for users of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume.

What you'll do

• Handle and review all enquiries raised by clients regarding client onboarding for individuals and corporate entities
• Manage your personal workload, prioritise items, and escalate key risks and issues to managers in a timely manner
• Work closely with stakeholders in Front Office, Compliance, and Product to assist clients in obtaining all necessary supporting evidence to fulfil KYC/KYB due diligence requirements
• Monitor, document, and escalate unusual activities or AML flags
• Participate in internal and external training programs related to AML/CFT and other compliance subjects
• Liaise with team members across the country and region to facilitate knowledge sharing

What you bring

• At least 3 years of directly related experience in Customer Support, KYC/KYB operations, Onboarding, or Compliance roles, with substantial knowledge of relevant rules and regulations
• Good knowledge of local laws, directives, and regulations applicable to subject persons, with understanding of virtual currency policies
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence
• Proficiency with compliance applications such as World-Check, Liquid, and Kodex
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership over the end-to-end client onboarding process
• Self-motivated, with ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
• Fluency in English and Japanese, required to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders
