Manager, Controls and Governance

As Manager of Controls and Governance at OKX, you strengthen the US business's first line of defense while serving as the operational bridge between US market execution and control functions. You work across every aspect of the US business, from KYC/KYB onboarding pipelines and marketing content reviews to executive reporting and customer support alignment, thriving in a fluid environment where you move between granular risk management and growth strategy to elevate organizational maturity.

What you'll do

• Support Compliance-managed KYC and KYB onboarding pipelines, identifying friction points, accelerating throughput between business units and Compliance, and resolving operational friction
• Serve as the key liaison to the US Risk organization, providing assistance in monitoring KRIs and implementing the risk framework
• Lead the cross-functional workflow for Compliance and Legal reviews of growth assets, including marketing campaigns, product launches, promotional materials, and client communications
• Partner closely with Client Support and Compliance to streamline escalated customer workflows, ensure client support operations reflect regulatory requirements, and resolve customer-impacting compliance bottlenecks
• Work with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to understand key risks associated with new product launches and promote innovation and product delivery
• Lead and coordinate reporting for executive meeting cadences, soliciting updates and insight from business and control leads to present a cohesive view of US market performance and opportunities
• Support the drafting and upkeep of operational policies and procedures and prepare regular risk, control, and operational performance reporting for senior leadership
• Represent business operations in first-line risk management activities, supporting RCSAs, maintaining risk registers, and ensuring control effectiveness

What you bring

• 3+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Operations, Program Management, Compliance Operations, Governance, or Risk Management within fintech, crypto/web3, or heavily regulated financial services
• A builder mindset with high comfort in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments and the ability to pivot smoothly from tactical execution to strategic alignment
• A proven track record leading cross-departmental incident response, mapping workflows, and executing post-incident remediation
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships across control and first line teams
