Middle Fullstack (JS+BLOCKCHAIN)

As a Middle Fullstack Engineer at GEM, you build scalable and reliable blockchain products. You bring strong backend and frontend experience with solid knowledge of APIs, databases, and software architecture. We welcome engineers from Java, Go, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, or other technology backgrounds who have strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to adapt quickly.

What you'll do

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Develop and enhance frontend applications and internal platforms
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and distributed services
• Work with microservices and containerised architectures
• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues
• Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve engineering standards
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and DevOps teams
• Contribute to CI/CD, testing, deployment and production support

What you bring

• Strong professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend development experience with Java, Go, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, or equivalent
• A good understanding of API design, databases, distributed systems, and software architecture
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and production-grade APIs
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• The ability to quickly learn and understand unfamiliar systems and technologies
• A strong ownership mindset and good communication skills
• Experience working in an Agile environment

Nice to have

• JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js/NestJS
• React/Next.js or other modern frontend frameworks
• Docker/Kubernetes
• AWS/Azure
• Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
• CI/CD experience
• Microservices or event-driven architecture
• Experience in FinTech, Payments, Blockchain or Digital Assets
• Experience with Blockchain networks, Wallets or Smart Contracts
