Prime Financing Trading Analyst

As a Prime Financing Trading Analyst on Coinbase's Institutional Prime Finance team, you'll help manage and grow Coinbase's institutional financing book across lending, margin, and shorting products. You'll trade day-to-day across the financing desk, optimize net interest margin, and work directly with hedge funds, ETF issuers, market makers, and corporates to deliver bespoke financing solutions.

What you'll do

• Trade the financing book daily, managing long and short side liquidity across Prime Financing and CB Institutional products
• Optimize net interest margin on principal borrow/lend activity through active position management and pricing adjustments
• Support asset and client pricing for financing implementation across lending, margin, and shorting products
• Engage directly with institutional clients, including hedge funds, ETF issuers, market makers, UHNW individuals, and corporates, to structure financing solutions
• Build and refine custom client solutions that improve onboarding, internal processes, and overall client experience

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience in equity or fixed income financing, prime brokerage, or derivatives at a bank, broker-dealer, or crypto exchange
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar programming languages applied to trading analytics, pricing models, or data analysis
• Demonstrated knowledge of fiat and crypto funding market fundamentals, including repo, securities lending, and margin financing mechanics
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with institutional clients and internal stakeholders while managing competing priorities with urgency
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality

What we offer

• Annual base salary of $126,990-$149,400 USD, excluding equity and bonus
