(Principal) Golang Development Engineer

As a Principal Golang Development Engineer at Bybit, you partner closely with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. You own the development, refactoring, upgrade, and maintenance of CRM systems including ticketing, agent workspace, rule engine, workflow orchestration, instant messaging, and AI-assisted modules for one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges serving over 80 million users.

What you'll do

• Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Own the development, refactoring, upgrade, and maintenance of CRM systems, including ticketing, agent workspace, rule engine, workflow orchestration, instant messaging, and AI-assisted modules
• Tackle complex technical challenges, lead cross-team project delivery, drive system stability initiatives, and deliver reusable capabilities and component frameworks through architecture optimization

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in Golang or Java (3+ years in your primary language); deep understanding of language internals, data structures, and design principles
• Hands-on experience building CRM systems, particularly ticketing, rule engines, workflow orchestration, instant messaging, or agent workspace systems
• Experience with AI-assisted development (AI Coding)
• A solid foundation in data structures, computer systems, networking architecture, common algorithms, and design patterns
• Proficiency with mainstream service frameworks and middleware, with production experience using MySQL, Redis, Kafka, or similar tools
• Ability to independently produce design documents, technical specifications, and API documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive in identifying issues, driving cross-team initiatives, and taking ownership
• Fast learner with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative

Nice to have

• Experience with the other language (Java if you specialise in Golang, or Golang if you specialise in Java)
• Prior experience in the cryptocurrency industry or at a leading internet platform
• Familiarity with AI-powered system development such as intelligent customer service or smart routing
• Bilingual communication in English and Chinese
