Principal Risk Control Architect

As Principal Risk Control Architect at Bybit, you lead the technical architecture of the Security and Risk Control R&D teams. You design and evolve system architecture across performance optimization, microservice planning, disaster recovery and high availability, technology selection, and innovation, providing architectural support for Bybit's high-speed growth and stable operation serving over 80 million users.

What you'll do

• Design high-performance, highly scalable, and highly available system architecture to support Security and Risk Control business operations in high-traffic and high-market scenarios
• Master middleware technologies such as message queues, RPC frameworks, caching, and databases; evaluate their trade-offs and select the right combination based on business needs
• Lead technology selection for the department and continuously promote technological evolution and innovation
• Establish and improve online problem location, monitoring, alarm systems, and fault review mechanisms; quickly locate and solve difficult online problems
• Provide technical guidance and architecture review for security and risk control teams; output architecture specifications and best practices to enhance overall technical strength

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree or above
• More than 7 years of Java or Go backend development experience
• More than 3 years of architecture design experience
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, etc.) or Go (go-zero, etc.) microservice ecosystems
• Experience designing and tuning high-concurrency systems and developing large-scale distributed systems
• Practical experience with microservice architecture, containerization, and Kubernetes or Docker
• Experience architecting and ensuring stability in extreme peak scenarios such as high traffic and market trends
• Demonstrated online problem location and troubleshooting capabilities, plus a sound stability management strategy

Nice to have

• Active involvement in open source projects as an author, core contributor, or deep participant
• Experience with both Java and Go technology stacks on large-scale projects, especially as a lead
• Experience in AI or large model related projects such as intelligent risk control or model engineering implementation
• Experience building systems or businesses from 0-1
