As Principal, TradFi Settlement & Digital Assets at Galaxy Digital, you are the specialist voice on how traditional financial infrastructure works and what it takes to rebuild it for digital assets. You bring hands-on experience on both sides: settlement, custody, and post-trade flows inside a TradFi institution, and the equivalent flows inside a digital asset or blockchain environment. You understand the full institutional trade lifecycle end to end, and how it maps-and doesn't map-onto digital asset rails. You will partner directly with DIS leads on vision and strategy for custom build engagements, co-own product direction, and translate complex institutional requirements into specs that engineering can execute against.
What you'll do
- Partner with DIS leads on the product vision and strategy for custom build engagements, owning prioritization and direction as work moves from concept to delivery
- Serve as the team's specialist on settlement, clearing, and post-trade flows across both TradFi and digital assets, bringing deep, current knowledge of the institutional trade lifecycle including custody, settlement cycles, corporate actions, and reconciliation, and how it translates on-chain
- Translate institutional and regulatory requirements into clear, buildable specs and acceptance criteria that engineering can execute against with minimal rework
- Run discovery and requirements sessions directly with client stakeholders, from engineers to senior operations and technology leaders, and define success in their terms
- Challenge ideas and assumptions-both the client's and the team's-pressure-testing every requirement against how TradFi infrastructure actually behaves today and where it needs to change for digital assets
- Partner closely with the Architect and engineering leads to ensure product decisions hold up technically, and stay in the details when it matters
- Serve as the voice of the client internally and the voice of the roadmap externally, keeping delivery and client expectations aligned as requirements evolve
- Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI tools to improve team performance, decision-making, and output quality
What you bring
- Deep, hands-on TradFi experience with settlement systems, post-trade flows, and the full institutional trade lifecycle including custody, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation
- Equally deep, hands-on experience with digital asset or blockchain infrastructure including tokenization, on-chain settlement, and digital custody; genuine fluency in both worlds is required
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Lead who has shipped complex, regulated financial infrastructure, not just consumer or generic B2B products
- Comfort operating as a specialist rather than a generalist; real depth in domain matters more than breadth across many
- Client-facing experience with Tier-1 financial institutions; credibility in working sessions with engineers and in briefings with senior stakeholders
- A strong point of view and willingness to challenge requirements, assumptions, and even senior stakeholders when the details don't hold up
- Ability to translate ambiguous, cross-functional institutional requirements into structured specs engineering can build against
- Experience partnering closely with technical leadership on vision and strategy, not just backlog execution
Nice to have
- Background at a custodian, clearinghouse, prime broker, or other post-trade infrastructure provider on the TradFi side, or a digital asset custodian or exchange on the crypto side
- Formal product management experience inside a regulated fintech or capital markets environment
- Fluency in payments rails and trading systems alongside settlement
- Experience having personally led a build that bridged a TradFi institution onto digital asset rails, such as a tokenization pilot or on-chain settlement project
What we offer
- Base salary of $200,000-$250,000 USD, commensurate with experience and expertise
- Discretionary annual bonus
- Equity incentives as part of total compensation
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
- Flexible paid time off
- 3% 401(k) company contribution
- Company-paid health and protective benefits for employees, partners, and dependents
- Generous paid parental leave
- Competitive family planning benefits for US employees
- Opportunities to learn about the crypto industry
- Free daily snacks and weekly breakfasts and lunches
- Free coaching and counseling sessions through Headspace
- Employee Resource Groups
