QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at Invictus Capital, you own the testing and quality assurance process for our engineering team. You join a company that pioneered the first tokenized cryptocurrency index fund and now operates a world-class investment platform serving over 15,000 investors across 150 countries. Your focus spans defining acceptance tests with the product manager, leading the UAT phase, and ensuring the quality of products built on a microservices architecture in Python and ReactJS.

What you'll do

• Participate in functional and technical design sessions to own the QA element
• Ensure quality assurance of business and functional requirements specifications
• Extract test requirements from high-level business and functional specifications and workshops
• Develop and implement automated testing environments
• Analyse and develop test scenarios
• Build a framework for creation and maintenance of test data
• Conduct integration, scenario, load, functional and non-functional testing, all automated
• Log, own and resolve defects
• Test the user interface design of web-based software applications
• Test REST APIs with automated functional, load and security tests
• Assist with resolution and reproduction of user software problems

What you bring

• 3+ years of software development experience, with Python or JavaScript preferred
• 3+ years of systems development and testing experience with internet-based applications, UIs and APIs
• Experience conducting automated testing in cloud environments
• Experience with defect reporting in issue management systems, particularly Atlassian Jira
• Experience with testing and automation scripting using Selenium or similar open-source test automation tools
• Experience using online version control and open-source continuous integration environments
• A relevant formal qualification such as BSc Engineering in a relevant field (Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering/Systems, Network Engineering or similar) or BSc Computer Science with network or operations experience

Nice to have

• An understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
• Experience writing smart contracts in Solidity on the Ethereum blockchain
