Most research roles in crypto pay between $102k and $213k, with a median of $158k.

As a Quant Trading Developer at Mamoru, you'll trade across DEX and CEX venues for our crypto desk, with a primary focus on on-chain execution on platforms like Hyperliquid. You build nodes, write execution code, reduce latency, and own the full stack from infrastructure through to live P&L.

What you'll do

  • Develop, automate, and trade strategies on Hyperliquid with the firm's capital, including arbitrage, liquidations, and funding capture, and own the resulting P&L
  • Manage positions, leverage, margin, and funding exposure in real time within risk limits
  • Build and run self-hosted DEX nodes such as Hyperliquid and the execution infrastructure used for live trading
  • Measure and reduce latency, jitter, and throughput bottlenecks across the full tick-to-trade path, including node sync, market-data handling, network connectivity, order signing, and order submission
  • Build and maintain market-data handlers, internal order books, and order-routing logic for Hyperliquid and other on-chain venues
  • Build latency analytics such as order round-trip and market-data delay tracking, and implement risk controls including kill switches and position limits

What you bring

  • 3+ years of direct experience in live quant or systematic prop trading with P&L responsibility, including running systematic strategies on perpetual futures and managing positions, leverage, and funding in real time
  • Hands-on experience building and running a node on Hyperliquid or another DEX, with the ability to explain its architecture, bottlenecks, and latency trade-offs in depth
  • Strong hands-on proficiency with RPC, WebSocket feeds, transaction signing, and smart contract interaction. Python is required; Rust, C++, or Go is a strong plus
  • A proven track record of measuring and reducing execution latency in production, including hands-on experience with latency profiling, network-level latency, and system tuning such as CPU pinning and async event loops
  • Deep understanding of perpetuals, funding rates, leverage, liquidations, and on-chain order books
  • A solid grasp of exchange microstructure, including order types, order-book events, and rate limits
  • A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

Nice to have

  • Trading experience across both DEX and CEX venues, including cross-venue arbitrage
  • Background in low-latency or HFT trading, including low-latency techniques such as lock-free structures and ring buffers
