Research Engineer Intern (Multimodal LLM)

As a Research Engineer Intern focused on Multimodal LLM at Tether, you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art foundation models and optimize our distributed model training framework. You will work on LLM, vision, and multimodal research while gaining hands-on experience with large-scale AI systems deployed across our organization.

What you'll do

• Research and develop state-of-the-art LLM and/or video or multimodality models to accelerate open-source progress in these domains
• Implement applications of large models in business scenarios, including pre-training, supervised fine-tuning, post-training, and inference
• Continuously optimize the training framework to better adapt to the training of large models on thousands of multi-node GPUs
• Advance the development of open-source LLM, vision, and/or multimodal foundation models and products in collaboration with broader teams across Tether

What you bring

• You are an MSc or PhD candidate in computer science or a related technical discipline
• You have research experience in at least one of the following areas: LLM, computer vision, or multimodality
• You are proficient with PyTorch deep learning framework and libraries
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, logical thinking, communication, and collaboration abilities

Nice to have

• Publications in top AI conferences such as ACL, NIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, or IJCV
