Most engineering roles in crypto pay between $145k and $270k, with a median of $205k.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Libeara, you design, build and maintain a blockchain-based financial platform that tokenises real-world assets. You own backend services, frontend applications, smart contracts, APIs and integrations supporting regulated digital asset products. Working closely with engineering, product, security and operations teams, you deliver secure, robust applications for investor onboarding, token lifecycle management, wallet integrations, and fiat and stablecoin settlement. You assess feasibility of additional blockchain networks, develop proof of concepts, and help deliver approved integrations into production.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain scalable TypeScript and Node.js backend services using NestJS and microservices architecture
  • Build APIs and integrations with financial institutions, wallet providers, compliance services and blockchain infrastructure
  • Develop reliable asynchronous workflows using BullMQ, Redis and Azure Service Bus, including retries, idempotency and failure recovery
  • Design and optimise PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, maintaining consistency between application records and on-chain data
  • Troubleshoot complex application and production issues
  • Build and maintain Next.js and React applications for investors and platform administrators
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver secure, accessible and responsive interfaces
  • Implement authentication, permissions, approval workflows and clear transaction-status handling
  • Integrate smart contracts and blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche and Solana
  • Assess new-chain feasibility, covering security, finality, fees, token capabilities, tooling, institutional signing, indexing and settlement support
  • Build proofs of concept, document technical recommendations and help implement approved chain integrations
  • Develop token issuance, minting, burning, transfer and investor eligibility workflows
  • Integrate MPC wallet and signing providers such as Fireblocks or Utila, and RPC/indexing providers such as Alchemy
  • Support stablecoin settlement, fiat on/off-ramps, reconciliation and exception handling
  • Handle transaction signing, confirmations, chain reorganisations and on-chain/off-chain consistency
  • Deploy and operate applications on Azure using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Contribute to Terraform, CI/CD and Argo CD deployment workflows
  • Implement monitoring, audit logging, secure access controls and secrets management
  • Support penetration-test remediation and collaborate on smart contract audit findings
  • Write maintainable code and automated tests, conduct code reviews and mentor other engineers
  • Own delivery from technical design through deployment and production support
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external development partners to maintain quality and accountability
  • Identify opportunities with AI teams, develop solutions with approved tools and conduct mindful human review

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js and React
  • Experience delivering production APIs, microservices and event-driven systems
  • Hands-on production experience with blockchain, smart contract and wallet integrations
  • Ability to assess unfamiliar blockchain networks, develop proofs of concept and contribute to end-to-end integrations
  • Experience accelerating SDLC productivity through adoption of AI-assisted development, code reviews and process improvement
  • Working knowledge of EVM concepts, token standards, transaction signing and blockchain events
  • Ability to design, develop, test and review Rust and Solidity contracts and troubleshoot application integrations
  • Strong database experience, preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with familiarity with Redis
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and Docker/Kubernetes deployments
  • Understanding of secure application design, distributed system reliability, idempotency and data consistency
  • Strong testing, troubleshooting, communication and technical ownership skills
  • Ability to work independently

Nice to have

  • NestJS and Next.js experience
  • Fintech or capital markets experience, particularly in banking, payments, asset management, custody or regulated digital assets
  • Familiarity with fund subscriptions/redemptions, net asset value (NAV), settlement, reconciliation and financial precision
  • Experience with tokenised real-world assets (RWA), stablecoin payments or fiat on/off-ramp integrations
  • Familiarity with KYC/KYB, AML, wallet screening, maker-checker approvals and audit trails
