Senior Protocol Engineer

As a Senior Protocol Engineer at Kaleido, you will develop blockchain-based platforms and products for companies across the globe, including many of the largest banks and central banks. You'll work with the latest Web3 technologies in Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains, identity, tokenized digital assets, and wallets.

What you'll do

• Develop platform features that provision and manage blockchains, both Layer 1 and Layer 2
• Develop platform features that interact with blockchains such as connectors, adaptors, and signing wallets
• Develop blockchain-based privacy-preserving tokens using advanced cryptography such as Zero Knowledge Proofs
• Develop enterprise-grade products for managing digital assets
• Work with open source communities and researchers on data privacy, cross-chain interoperability, decentralized identities, and account abstractions
• Research and develop innovative approaches to challenging problems in enterprise software such as distributed systems and consensus algorithms

What you bring

• 10+ years of experience in a senior engineering role
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in basic cryptography such as digital signatures and encryption based on asymmetric or symmetric keys
• Programming experience in Golang or Rust
• Ability to explain consensus algorithms like Raft or PBFT

Nice to have

• Knowledge of advanced cryptography such as zero-knowledge proofs, threshold signatures, and elliptic curves
