Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Certora, you'll join a security assurance platform trusted by leading Web3 protocols like Lido, Aave, Uniswap, and Compound. You'll write production-grade backend code at scale, tackle complex architectural problems, and help teams prove correctness and secure billions in value through formal verification and expert advisory services.

What you'll do

• Write clean, performant, and well-tested code daily, moving projects from concept to production rapidly
• Own the technical design and architectural solutions for complex backend and infrastructure challenges
• Quickly ramp up on existing codebases and ongoing initiatives, contributing to feature delivery and infrastructure maintenance
• Develop production-grade deliverables using LLM-assisted coding and review contributions from coding agents
• Research, evaluate, and implement modern software engineering practices to keep the tech stack efficient, secure, and maintainable

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong background in backend engineering and technical design
• 1+ year of experience using coding agents such as Claude or Codex without compromising on code quality, design robustness, cleanliness, or testing
• Proven ability to adapt quickly, learn new systems on the fly, and maintain high velocity of delivery without sacrificing code quality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clarifying technical requirements and documenting architectural decisions

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of security best practices
• Experience working across the full software stack, including frontend frameworks or interfaces
• Experience with ecosystems outside AWS, such as Railway or Google Cloud
• Experience optimizing and maintaining legacy infrastructure while transitioning to newer architectures
