Senior Software Engineer, Payments & Blockchain

As a Senior Software Engineer at Flyra, you build the financial infrastructure that powers stablecoin payments for businesses in underserved markets. Flyra provides payment service providers with an API to embed wallets, yield, Visa cards, settlement, and credit for their business customers, with payments routed across banks, stablecoin networks, and off-ramps. You join a small senior team shipping production code with real partners and real money moving through the systems you build.

What you'll do

You can specialize in one of two tracks, or work across both.

Track 1: Payments & Ledger

• Build and scale a double-entry ledger that stays reconciled in real time
• Build payment orchestration: routing, failover, and best-price execution across banks, stablecoin networks, and off-ramps
• Integrate banks, card issuing, and off-ramp partners
• Build reconciliation and controls that banks and regulators trust

Track 2: Wallets & Blockchain

• Build self-custody wallet infrastructure for business users at scale
• Design secure key management using MPC, HSM, or smart contract wallets
• Build on-chain settlement and connect it to the ledger and orchestration layer
• Integrate stablecoin networks and on/off-ramp partners

What you bring

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• Production experience in either ledger or payment orchestration systems, or wallet and custody systems
• A strong grasp of security, consistency, and failure handling when real money is moving

Nice to have

• Experience with stablecoins such as USDC or USDT
