Senior Software Engineer,

As a Senior Software Engineer at Ripple, you build reliable, scalable, and high-performance compliance systems that support business objectives across our cryptocurrency fintech products. You drive the full software development lifecycle, from capturing and analyzing requirements through design, deployment, and continuous improvement of backend applications. Working alongside Ripple's cross-functional technical teams, you implement and raise coding, testing, and deployment processes to Ripple's engineering excellence standards.

What you'll do

• Build reliable, scalable, and high-performance compliance systems that support business objectives
• Capture and analyze requirements including user needs, software requirements, and performance requirements
• Apply sound design principles to robust software architecture
• Perform unit and integration testing
• Design, deploy, and continuously improve backend applications in collaboration with cross-functional technical teams
• Implement and drive coding, testing, and deployment processes, raising them to Ripple's engineering excellence standards

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate software development experience, OR a Master's degree in one of these fields plus 3 years of software development experience
• 3 years of experience coding in Java with Spring or Spring Boot Framework
• 3 years of experience with Messaging Stream Solutions
• 3 years of experience building systems backed by modern persistence technologies in payments, banking, or e-commerce domains, using Aurora or DynamoDB
• 3 years of experience with at least one web frontend framework: Node.js, React.js, or Angular.js
• 3 years of experience with Typescript, Golang, Scala, Rust, or Python
• 3 years of experience building cloud applications on AWS with Docker or Kubernetes
• 3 years of experience with Agile development of distributed services, with a focus on robust software design, scalability, and security
