Senior Software Engineer, Trading Services

As a Senior Software Engineer in Trading Services at OKX, you will lead the design and development of mission-critical, data-intensive applications that power the core order and position management system used by millions of traders. The Trading Data sub-team focuses on trading and market data analytics, constantly pushing the limits of data-driven decision-making. You'll work with an exceptional team to build high-performance, real-time solutions that provide precision, speed, and insights while driving innovation in our data foundations.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of high-performance, real-time, data-intensive applications for the trading domain
• Leverage AI coding tools as part of your daily engineering workflow to accelerate delivery and code quality
• Drive future-proof innovative data solutions to solve problems at scale
• Lead projects with an Agile mindset, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, Front End, QA, and Infrastructure engineers
• Uphold best practices in code quality, performance optimization, and data management across the team
• Mentor and support junior engineers to help them grow their technical expertise

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the big data domain with a proven track record of solving complex data challenges
• Demonstrated success in driving and delivering solutions to challenging data-related problems
• Expertise in semi-structured data, data processing pipelines, data modeling, and OLAP solutions
• Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Natural curiosity with the ability to navigate uncertainty and keen attention to detail

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of modern event-driven architecture
• Experience in search and recommendation systems
• Familiarity with cutting-edge data technologies such as PolarDB, TiDB, StarRocks, and ClickHouse
• Experience working with multi-region and multi-cultural teams
