Senior Systems Administrator

As a Senior Systems Administrator at ConsenSys, you own the technical backbone that MetaMask's engineers, product teams, and operations depend on every day. You'll work across cloud and SaaS environments, driving improvements that raise the bar on system reliability and operational maturity. You operate with significant autonomy, bringing judgment, initiative, and technical depth to drive the operational reliability of the technical ecosystems used by our global workforce.

What you'll do

• Manage ticket resolution and provide remote support to team members
• Support hardware and software needs across the organization
• Administer networking infrastructure and videoconferencing systems (both digital and physical)
• Handle onboarding and offboarding tasks for new hires and departing employees
• Procure and ship equipment to remote employees across the EU
• Execute large-scale technical projects and company-wide technology initiatives
• Administer, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure across multiple environments, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Atlassian
• Manage and evolve hybrid systems, ensuring seamless integration with cloud workloads
• Administer and optimize the SaaS and MDM tooling stack that supports a globally distributed workforce
• Lead incident response for critical systems, including root cause analysis and post-incident review
• Build and maintain automation to reduce manual overhead and improve system observability
• Define and enforce security and access control policies across platforms
• Partner with Security teams to support compliance requirements
• Contribute to technical documentation and runbooks that raise team-wide operational standards

What you bring

• 5+ years in systems administration or infrastructure engineering roles
• Strong working knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments
• Experience administering enterprise SaaS platforms and MDM solutions (e.g. Jumpcloud, Okta)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, identity management, and access control
• A track record of operating autonomously and making sound technical decisions under pressure
• Clear communication skills - able to translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience in a web3, fintech, or high-growth tech environment
• Exposure to security frameworks or compliance programmes such as SOC2 or ISO 27001
• Experience supporting globally distributed, fully remote teams
• Experience across at least two major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

What we offer

• US pay range: $138,745-$202,336 USD (not including bonus, equity, or other benefits). Compensation for candidates based outside the US will be determined based on location, experience, and skills during the interview process.
