Software Engineer, Trading Product

As a Software Engineer on the Trading Product team at Aptos, you'll build experimental trading products on the Aptos blockchain. You'll join a lean team with significant autonomy and impact, helping shape technical direction and potentially growing into a leadership role as the team scales. This position is based in Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and experiment with trading products for the Aptos blockchain
• Develop scalable APIs, indexing services, and data pipelines to support trading data access
• Build and maintain infrastructure for trading
• Write clean, performant, well-tested, and production-ready code
• Collaborate closely with protocol engineers, infrastructure teams, and product engineers

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping products
• Strong experience building products in languages such as Typescript or similar
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and code quality

Nice to have

• Background in payments, DeFi, or TradFi
• Experience with blockchain
• Web3 experience or familiarity
