Sr Director, Product Management, Crypto

As Senior Director of Product Management for Crypto at PayPal, you establish a unified vision for PayPal's crypto and stablecoin product portfolio and lead its strategic development across cross-functional teams. You shape the roadmap to balance innovation, regulatory requirements, and profitability while prioritizing customer and merchant experience. You oversee product profitability and manage a team of product managers to drive collaboration in the digital asset space.

What you'll do

• Establish a shared vision across the company for a portfolio of crypto and stablecoin products with a deliberate and cohesive strategy
• Lead product strategy development and create a clear, executable view of the product portfolio strategy with cross-functional stakeholders
• Shape the architectural roadmap and balance innovative design and technical implementation while meeting regulatory requirements, time-to-market goals, customer needs, and product profitability
• Champion the customer experience and prioritize customer and merchant needs in product requirements and decision-making
• Define and use metrics to inform product success, including usability studies, research, and market analysis
• Standardize workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making
• Own product portfolio profitability, including budgetary decisions and investment tradeoffs across network, liquidity, and infrastructure
• Lead operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability, including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews, and interface with senior leadership as needed
• Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where creative solutions are the standard

What you bring

• 12+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience leading others
• Deep fintech and crypto/digital asset expertise with demonstrated experience building and scaling products in regulated financial services and digital asset environments
• Proven experience leading product strategy and roadmaps across crypto and stablecoin products, including stablecoins, custody, on/off-ramps, payment rails, network expansion, and digital asset infrastructure
• Strong working knowledge of stablecoins, crypto infrastructure, and the regulatory landscape governing digital assets, with the ability to balance innovation, regulatory requirements, time-to-market, and product profitability
• Deep understanding of customer and merchant needs for digital asset products, including trust, transparency, and ease of use
• Experience using on-chain and transaction data, customer insights, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to lead across Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and Risk, and communicate portfolio strategy, performance, and priorities to senior leadership

• Base pay for this role depends on location and your relevant experience: Austin, Texas ($220,000-$326,700 annually); San Jose, California ($242,000-$359,150 annually)
