Strategic Operations Lead – Web3, Stablecoins & Payments

As a Strategic Operations Lead at Atlaz, you shape and execute new initiatives involving digital assets, payment infrastructure and trade finance. This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you understand business or operational problems, evaluate solutions, recommend an approach, and personally drive it through implementation. You work across Product, Engineering, Operations and Compliance to explore how stablecoins, blockchain infrastructure and digital payment and settlement rails apply to real-world B2B financial workflows. This is not a software engineering role and not a business development or sales role.

What you'll do

• Identify business and operational problems that could be addressed through stablecoins, blockchain or digital payment infrastructure, analyse existing workflows and user requirements, evaluate different product and technology approaches, and develop clear recommendations and business cases for new initiatives
• Translate business and operational needs into product requirements, payment workflows and implementation plans; contribute to product roadmap decisions for Web3, payment and digital asset initiatives; challenge assumptions to determine whether a proposed technology genuinely addresses the underlying business requirement
• Evaluate applications of stablecoins and blockchain infrastructure within B2B payment, settlement and financial workflows, assess end-to-end payment and settlement flows involving stablecoin settlement, cross-border payments, fiat and digital asset payment rails, wallets and custody, on/off ramps, liquidity and conversion, blockchain networks, APIs and third-party integrations
• Take ownership of initiatives from problem definition through analysis, recommendation, solution design, implementation and launch; work directly with Product and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into workable solutions; coordinate with Compliance and Operations to ensure proposed solutions operate within regulatory and operational requirements
• Work through implementation issues and make practical trade-offs where required; coordinate third-party technical and payment integrations; establish processes and operational workflows required to support new products or initiatives; monitor implementation outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Take ownership of strategic projects where the problem or solution may initially be unclear; structure ambiguous problems, gather required information and determine possible approaches; conduct market, product and competitor research to support business or product decisions; present recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders; establish project milestones, decision points and accountability across participating functions

What you bring

• 5+ years of relevant experience within fintech, payments, digital assets or Web3, product management, product strategy, product operations, strategic initiatives or related areas
• Hands-on professional experience with crypto, stablecoins, digital payments, blockchain or digital asset infrastructure
• Experience in B2B, enterprise or institutional payment environments
• Demonstrated ability to personally identify and analyse business problems, evaluate alternatives and make recommendations or product decisions
• Experience taking products or initiatives from early-stage requirements through implementation and launch
• Strong understanding of payment and settlement processes
• Experience translating business requirements into product requirements, operational workflows or solution designs
• Comfortable working directly with Product, Engineering, Operations and Compliance teams
• Sufficient technical understanding to discuss APIs, integrations, blockchain networks, wallets, custody and payment infrastructure with technical stakeholders (software engineering or coding experience is not required)
• Able to work independently and personally execute in a hands-on individual contributor capacity
• Comfortable working with evolving requirements and an evolving product roadmap
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with stablecoin or cross-border payment and settlement workflows
• Experience in trade finance or supply-chain finance
