Technical Recruiter

As a Technical Recruiter at Helius, you own full-cycle recruiting for the company's hardest engineering searches. You'll focus primarily on Rust and backend engineers for streaming, database, and edge gateway teams, as well as platform and bare-metal infrastructure engineers. Reporting to the VP of People and partnering directly with Engineering leadership, you'll build pipelines and close senior and staff-level candidates who might never have considered crypto before.

What you'll do

• Own a portfolio of senior and staff-level searches end to end, from intake through signed offer.
• Partner directly with Engineering leadership to define success profiles and calibrate on level, and push back when a requisition or profile isn't right.
• Build outbound pipelines into infrastructure, cloud, devtools, and data companies, sourcing from both large-scale infrastructure companies and fast-moving startups.
• Spot high-trajectory engineers based on steep growth rather than just impressive titles.
• Sell the engineering problem to candidates, translating Helius's systems challenges for engineers who would never open a crypto recruiter's message.
• Run a structured, high-signal interview process in Ashby that moves fast without lowering the bar.
• Run the closing process end to end, including bringing in founders and investors at the right moments, to win candidates with competing offers from larger companies.
• Turn the referral program into a consistent source of hires by mining the team's networks.
• Own agency relationships and decide where in-house sourcing beats them.
• Track pipeline health and conversion by stage, and use the data to fix bottlenecks.
• Help build the talent brand with engineers through outreach, content, and representing Helius at engineering events and conferences, with occasional travel.

What you bring

• 5+ years recruiting engineers, with a track record of closing senior and staff-level backend, infrastructure, or systems roles.
• Strong sourcing instincts and a playbook for finding engineers who aren't on the market.
• Technical fluency in distributed systems, databases, and performance (you don't need to code).
• Startup or high-growth experience where you moved fast and got it right.
• The confidence to push back on hiring managers and drive alignment.
• Clear, direct communication and real follow-through.
• A bias for action and ownership of outcomes, not just activity.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting at an infrastructure, devtools, cloud, or trading-technology company.
• A network in the Rust or systems engineering community.
• Experience with Ashby and AI-assisted sourcing tools.
