Transaction Monitoring Specialist (Web3)

As a Transaction Monitoring Specialist at RedotPay, you join the Compliance team to monitor, investigate, and report on suspicious activity across our crypto payment platform. You ensure we maintain the highest standards of regulatory compliance and trust while helping millions globally access faster, more inclusive financial services powered by blockchain.

What you'll do

• Monitor customer transactions in real-time and through periodic reviews using automated monitoring systems to identify potentially suspicious activity related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other financial crimes
• Conduct thorough and timely investigations of system-generated alerts and cases by analyzing transaction patterns, customer profiles, and external data to determine the legitimacy of activity
• Document all investigation steps, analysis, and findings clearly within the case management system and make reasonable recommendations for case closure or escalation
• Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) with relevant financial intelligence units in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Apply knowledge of blockchain technology, common crypto transaction patterns such as mixing and layering, and known red flags specific to the virtual asset service provider (VASP) industry
• Provide feedback and insights to the Compliance Manager to refine and optimize transaction monitoring rules, scenarios, and processes to reduce false positives and enhance detection effectiveness

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience in transaction monitoring, AML compliance, or financial crime investigation, with at least 1 year focused on cryptocurrencies or VASPs
• A solid understanding of AML/CFT regulations and guidelines
• Practical experience investigating alerts and writing and filing SARs/STRs
• A strong understanding of blockchain analytics
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, or TRM
• Experience with transaction monitoring systems such as Scorechain, Coinfirm, or traditional systems like Actimize or SAS adapted for crypto
