VIP Relationship Manager

As the China Relationship Manager at MetaMask, you will own relationships with Mandarin speaking high-volume traders and high-net-worth individuals across our Trade and Money VIP programmes in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. MetaMask is launching an official VIP programme in early 2027, and this role is critical to winning trust and volume in a market where personal relationships decide everything.

What you'll do

• Find, recruit, onboard and retain VIP traders and high-net-worth individuals across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore
• Build relationships across Mandarin speaking traders, HNWIs and community networks, including industry networks, referrals, events and inbound interest
• Negotiate and agree VIP terms with candidates within MetaMask's programme guidelines
• Act as each VIP's main point of contact, bringing in Support, Product, Marketing and leadership when needed
• Host and join VIP gatherings across Greater China and the wider region, working with the Events team
• Turn conversations with VIPs into insight on trading behaviour, competitor offers, market shifts and product gaps, and share findings with Product
• Adapt VIP materials and communications for a Chinese speaking audience in line with Legal guidance
• Track and report on pipeline, volume, fees and retention

What you bring

• Experience in VIP, account management or business development in crypto, exchanges, brokerages or fintech
• A credible network among high-volume Mandarin speaking traders, HNWIs or communities, or a proven track record of building one
• Native Mandarin and strong professional English
• A good understanding of regional market dynamics and how traders and HNWIs compare offerings
• Comfort working towards volume, fee and deposit targets
• Solid knowledge of on-chain trading and DeFi
• Sound judgement on local regulation and comfort working with Legal guidance

Nice to have

• Experience hosting private events or community gatherings in the region
• Japanese or Korean language skills
• Cantonese language ability
• A product mindset: you can turn feedback into clear requirements
