VP, Java Electronic Trading Engineer

As VP, Java Electronic Trading Engineer at Galaxy Digital, you lead the development of next-generation crypto trading systems for the London trading technology team. You bring 10+ years of server-side Java expertise, with deep knowledge of order management systems, market connectivity, low latency messaging, or price distribution, and you own projects from conception through resolution.

What you'll do

• Design and develop low latency pricing and trading systems in a Linux environment
• Build robust order management and market connectivity infrastructure
• Optimise application performance through profiling and advanced tuning techniques
• Lead and mentor the trading technology team to deliver institutional-grade systems

What you bring

• 10+ years of relevant development experience
• Excellent core Java skills with exceptional knowledge of concurrency and multithreaded programming
• Proven experience developing low latency pricing and trading systems in a Linux environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Application performance profiling and optimisation expertise

Nice to have

• eFX development experience in a low latency, zero garbage collection environment
• Knowledge of institutional encodings such as FIX and SBE
• Experience with fault tolerant, high availability, and distributed computing systems
• Familiarity with low latency messaging frameworks such as Aeron or 29West
• Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS experience
• Knowledge of crypto and blockchain technology
