As a Web3 Competitive Intelligence Analyst at Imperial Consulting Group, you research the rapidly evolving blockchain and digital asset landscape and provide strategic insights to support consulting engagements. You monitor Web3 markets, analyze competitors, evaluate emerging technologies and business models, and translate market intelligence into actionable strategic insights for clients.

What you'll do

• Monitor Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrency, DeFi, and digital asset markets.
• Conduct competitive intelligence research on Web3 companies, protocols, platforms, and emerging technologies.
• Analyze competitors' products, business models, market positioning, partnerships, funding activity, and growth strategies.
• Track industry trends, regulatory developments, technological developments, and changes in market structure.
• Develop competitor profiles, market maps, industry reports, and strategic research briefs.
• Evaluate new Web3 business models and identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats.
• Conduct market sizing, segmentation, benchmarking, and comparative analysis.
• Research blockchain ecosystems, Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks, DeFi protocols, stablecoins, wallets, exchanges, and Web3 infrastructure.
• Monitor venture funding, M&A activity, strategic partnerships, product launches, and ecosystem developments.
• Translate complex market data into clear insights and recommendations for consulting projects.
• Support market entry, growth strategy, and business development engagements with research and competitive intelligence.
• Prepare presentations, dashboards, and written reports for clients and internal stakeholders.

What you bring

• A strong understanding of Web3, blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, and digital asset ecosystems.
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to evaluate large amounts of information.
• Knowledge of DeFi, stablecoins, tokenomics, Layer 1 and Layer 2 ecosystems, and Web3 infrastructure.
• Ability to conduct structured competitor analysis and identify meaningful market trends.
• Strong financial, quantitative, and commercial analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present complex technical and market information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate information across multiple sources.
• Proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, or comparable analytical and presentation tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects in a remote environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in competitive intelligence, market research, strategy consulting, business analysis, or investment research.
• Experience with blockchain analytics platforms, market intelligence tools, or on-chain data.

What we offer

• Salary range of $90,000-$120,000 USD per year depending on experience, analytical expertise, and Web3 industry knowledge.
