Accounting Manager (Crypto Accountant)

As an Accounting Manager at Scrubbed, you lead and manage the financial operations for a diverse group of clients. You oversee and optimize accounting functions related to crypto and non-crypto holdings, coordinate outsourced accounting activities, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the team.

What you'll do

• Direct and oversee the accounting team in managing and maintaining accurate records for crypto and digital asset transactions
• Supervise the reconciliation of crypto wallet balances, digital asset holdings, and transaction activities
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments related to cryptocurrencies and digital assets to advise clients on compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights, strategic reporting, and guidance on crypto-related matters
• Manage outsourced accounting processes, including vendor selection, management, and performance evaluation
• Examine and approve financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Liaise with outside CPAs in the preparation and review of tax filings and audits related to client activities
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
• Lead cross-functional projects to enhance financial systems, procedures, and overall company performance
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance in client operations
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
• Stay current with emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the digital asset space

What you bring

• At least 6 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, with 1 to 2 years of managerial experience
• Proficiency with accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics
• Strong critical thinking and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and articulation abilities
• Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously while maintaining high-quality deliverables
• Strong sense of ethics, trustworthiness, and ability to protect confidential client and firm information
• Capacity to train, coach, and motivate staff effectively
