Associate, Compliance (Mumbai)

As a Compliance Associate at Galaxy Digital, you maintain the firm's BSA/AML compliance program across Trading, Lending, and Asset Management business lines. You focus on KYC and AML activities, evaluating client identification and risk profiles while interacting with senior management, legal, technology, clients, and investors.

What you'll do

• Conduct and review OFAC screens, research OFAC false positives, escalate potential issues for review, file OFAC reports as required, and test and validate the sanction screening tool
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence, review Customer Risk Ranking, and conduct Enhanced Due Diligence, escalating potential AML risks with mitigation recommendations
• Investigate, analyze, and identify AML alerts which may lead to filing suspicious activity reports as required by law
• Assist in implementing on-chain transaction monitoring including validation and clearing AML transaction monitoring alerts
• Implement BSA/AML and OFAC procedures and recommend procedure improvements based on regulations and industry practices aligned with the company's business model
• Assist with regulatory audits and requests
• Ensure appropriate adherence to CDD, EDD, and Transaction Monitoring processes while providing a positive experience for clients
• Identify compliance and risk issues
• Assist institutional clients and investors during the onboarding process, including questions regarding onboarding to Galaxy and Galaxy's onboarding to their platform
• Provide client-first support both through email and scheduled phone calls to ensure correct guidance and information is given to clients and investors

What you bring

• 3 to 5 years of experience conducting end-to-end KYC onboarding reviews
• Experience in blockchain investigations and AML alert clearance
• A Bachelor's Degree
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

• CAMS certification
• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, CDD, EDD, and Transaction Monitoring requirements
• Experience conducting and dispositioning transaction monitoring alerts and cases
• Ability to manage multiple projects and functions
• Experience, knowledge, and interest in cryptocurrency
