BI Senior Manager

As a BI Senior Manager at coins.ph, you lead the company's business intelligence team and own the BI strategy, roadmap, and system implementation. coins.ph is the most established crypto brand in the Philippines with over 18 million users, fully regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as both a Virtual Currency and Electronic Money Issuer. In this role, you build and optimize BI systems across digital currency trading, payment services, user behavior, risk control, and compliance, delivering actionable data insights to senior management, business departments, and compliance teams.

What you'll do

• Formulate the company's long-term and short-term BI strategy, roadmap, and implementation plan, aligning with business development goals, risk control requirements, and compliance needs
• Lead the construction, optimization, and iteration of the BI system, including data modeling, data integration, data visualization, and report development, ensuring stability, efficiency, and scalability
• Establish and improve BI work standards, data quality management systems, and report release mechanisms to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Track the latest BI technologies and industry trends, introduce advanced BI tools and methods, and promote digital transformation of business decision-making
• Build, manage, and develop the BI team, formulate team OKRs and performance assessment standards, and create talent training plans to enhance professional capabilities
• Arrange daily work assignments, supervise progress, solve work difficulties, and foster a positive team atmosphere
• Guide team members' professional growth through technical training and skill exchanges
• Manage team performance through regular reviews and performance management
• Lead in-depth data analysis on core business areas, including digital currency trading volume, user activity, payment transaction data, risk control indicators, and compliance data
• Provide data-driven insights and decision support for senior management, including business growth analysis, user portrait analysis, risk early warning, and compliance monitoring
• Develop and optimize core BI reports and dashboards such as trading data, user data, risk control, and compliance dashboards to meet departmental needs
• Track key business indicators (KPIs), analyze deviations, and provide targeted improvement suggestions
• Communicate closely with business departments (trading, payment, operation, marketing), risk control, compliance, and technical teams to understand their data and BI needs
• Coordinate internal resources to promote BI project implementation and ensure BI products meet business and compliance requirements
• Provide feedback on data problems and optimization suggestions to the data warehouse and R&D teams
• Cooperate with the compliance team to ensure BI data and reports comply with global regulatory requirements including FATF, MiCA, and local regulations, and support regulatory audits
• Lead the team in building data models for risk control and compliance, including abnormal transaction monitoring, user risk rating, and compliance indicator analysis
• Provide real-time data support for the risk control team to identify and mitigate risks such as money laundering, fraud, and market manipulation
• Assist the compliance team in data statistics, report submission, and regulatory compliance work

What you bring

• 8+ years of BI-related work experience, including 3+ years in senior BI team management
• Deep understanding of digital currency trading, payment business, and related data logic
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
• Strong expertise in data modeling, data visualization, and data analysis methods
• Experience with data warehouse construction, ETL processes, and data quality management, with the ability to independently lead BI system construction and optimization
• Understanding of global regulatory requirements such as FATF and MiCA related to digital assets and payments, and experience providing BI support for compliance and risk control
• Proficiency in SQL
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities to build and lead high-performance BI teams
• Strong cross-departmental coordination and resource integration capabilities
• Strong data sensitivity and analytical thinking, with the ability to identify business problems from data and provide actionable solutions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
• Bachelor's degree or above in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or related fields

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, digital currency, payment, or blockchain industries
• Familiarity with Python or R for complex data analysis and model building
• Experience building BI systems for compliant digital currency exchanges or payment institutions
• Familiarity with on-chain data analysis, digital asset trading data logic, and payment transaction data processing
• Experience leading BI projects related to risk control and compliance, and understanding of regulatory audit data needs
• Familiarity with cloud computing and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
• Relevant professional certifications such as CBIP or Data Analyst Professional
