Blockchain Developer Intern

As a Blockchain Developer Intern at ESTROC, you join a technology company developing solutions across blockchain, artificial intelligence, software development, SaaS, automation, and emerging technologies. You work on real-world blockchain projects, from smart contract development to decentralized applications and enterprise blockchain solutions. This is a 3-6 month internship with potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business requirements.

What you'll do

• Develop, test, and deploy Solidity smart contracts on Ethereum or EVM-compatible networks.
• Build and integrate decentralized applications (dApps) using Web3 libraries.
• Work with blockchain transactions, wallets, gas, events, and contract interactions.
• Research and implement blockchain consensus mechanisms, cryptographic hashing, and distributed ledger concepts.
• Explore Hyperledger Fabric, permissioned blockchain networks, and enterprise blockchain architecture.
• Develop blockchain-based solutions for digital identity, document verification, supply chain traceability, and data provenance.
• Integrate blockchain networks with backend APIs, databases, and web applications.
• Write smart contract tests and identify common security vulnerabilities.
• Participate in blockchain architecture discussions, technical research, and proof-of-concept development.

What you bring

• Foundational understanding of blockchain fundamentals: blocks, transactions, nodes, distributed ledgers, and consensus mechanisms such as PoW, PoS, and PBFT.
• Knowledge of cryptographic hashing, public/private keys, and digital signatures.
• Basic Solidity programming and experience with smart contract deployment and interaction.
• Familiarity with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and development tools such as Remix IDE, Hardhat, or Foundry.
• Understanding of ERC-20/ERC-721 token standards.
• Web3 architecture knowledge, including wallet integration and transaction signing with MetaMask.
• Experience with Web3 libraries such as ethers.js, viem, or Web3.js.
• Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Solidity, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and REST APIs.
• Experience building at least one blockchain-related project, smart contract, or proof of concept.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of development tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hyperledger Fabric, chaincode, channels, and permissioned networks.
• Knowledge of smart contract security, including reentrancy and access-control vulnerabilities.
• Experience with blockchain testnets and local development environments.
• Familiarity with IPFS, decentralized storage, oracles, and off-chain integrations.
• Understanding of blockchain use cases beyond cryptocurrency trading.
• GitHub projects, hackathon participation, or deployed smart contracts.
