PaxosNew York - Hybrid
FinanceLead / HeadRemote
🌍 Fully remote

As Corporate Development Lead at Paxos, you drive the company's inorganic growth strategy by identifying, structuring, and executing acquisitions while owning the full fundraising process. Reporting to the CFO, you partner with the executive team to advance Paxos's mission of rebuilding financial infrastructure through blockchain technology that serves leading institutions like Mastercard, Visa, Robinhood, and PayPal.

What you'll do

  • Own the M&A process end-to-end: develop investment and M&A theses by researching emerging trends and understanding Paxos product strategy; source, evaluate, and execute acquisitions; lead cross-functional diligence, drive structuring and negotiation, and manage close
  • Build and maintain a live pipeline of acquisition targets aligned to Paxos's strategic priorities across infrastructure, distribution, and regulated capabilities
  • Conduct operating performance analysis, lead market diligence, and prepare investment memos with rigorous financial models and valuation frameworks
  • Lead end-to-end equity fundraise processes: drive workstreams, prepare investor materials, build and manage data rooms, coordinate diligence, and control the process timeline as day-to-day owner
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with current and prospective investors between raises, providing regular updates
  • Bring an informed external view on competitors, market structure, and emerging opportunities into strategic planning; translate market insights into actionable recommendations for leadership
  • Scale Paxos Ventures by sourcing, evaluating, and recommending early-stage venture investments that advance Paxos strategic priorities; partner cross-functionally to support founders and portfolio companies
  • Build founder community programs and events that convene portfolio companies, investors, and ecosystem participants
  • Establish repeatable processes for deal sourcing, evaluation, and integration planning; develop templates, frameworks, and institutional knowledge to make the company faster and sharper with every transaction

What you bring

  • A demonstrated track record of executing M&A or investment transactions, with closed deals rather than just support experience
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
  • Proven ability to own a fundraising process end-to-end: managing workstreams, materials, and investor relationships with minimal oversight
  • Excellent communication skills: you can present a nuanced deal thesis to a CFO and explain a term sheet to an engineer
  • Comfort operating as an individual contributor in a fast-moving environment; you don't need a team to be effective and know how to pull in the right internal stakeholders at the right moment
  • 7+ years of work experience
  • Entrepreneurial, analytical mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity; you bring focus and structure to chart a clear path forward
  • You enjoy building relationships
  • Default to using AI and take pride in your work; you are building agents, vibe-coding apps, and more

Nice to have

  • Background from investing (banking, private equity, venture capital) or a Corp Dev team at a fast-growing fintech or tech company
  • Familiarity with the blockchain infrastructure, digital asset, or fintech space
