As a Crypto Accountant at Swiss CryptoTax, you work where traditional accounting meets a rapidly evolving blockchain and digital asset landscape. You prepare, analyze, and reconcile crypto transactions from wallets, exchanges, and DeFi protocols, turning complex on-chain activity into clear financial data. You join a team of around 50 people across three companies united by a shared mission to automate routine work, solve real problems, and build the accounting systems of tomorrow.

What you'll do

  • Prepare crypto transactions from wallets, exchanges, and DeFi protocols, analyze and reconcile them, and convert them into traceable accounting data.
  • Investigate transaction flows on the blockchain, identify discrepancies, and create transparency in complex crypto activities through on-chain analysis.
  • Conduct bookkeeping, contribute to annual financial statements under Swiss corporate law, and support the development of meaningful financial and tax reports.
  • Work with digital assets and DeFi strategies including staking, lending, liquidity providing, and token transactions.
  • Support the tax preparation of digital assets, clarify technical issues with specialist colleagues, and contribute to complex advisory projects.
  • Collaborate with the company's own AI department to develop intelligent workflows, improve data processes, and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Evaluate new tools, develop solutions, and help expand crypto-accounting services continuously.

What you bring

  • A strong understanding of accounting, financial data, and business relationships.
  • Training or practical experience in accounting, fiduciary services, finance, or a comparable field.
  • Genuine interest in Bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and DeFi, ideally with hands-on experience using wallets, exchanges, or on-chain analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to structure complex data, and the capacity to maintain overview across demanding transaction histories.
  • Comfort working with digital tools, interfaces, Excel, and new technologies.
  • The view that AI and automation are opportunities to fundamentally improve processes.
  • Independent thinking, willingness to take responsibility, and high standards for your own work quality.
  • Fluency in German and English.

What we offer

  • Modern crypto-accounting tools, blockchain data infrastructure, and AI-driven processes.
  • Opportunity to develop specialized expertise in crypto accounting, digital assets, Swiss accounting standards, and taxation, guided by experienced specialists.
  • Short decision-making paths, space for your own ideas, flexible work arrangements, annual working time accounts, and home office options.
  • A path to specialize as a Crypto Accounting Specialist, take on responsibility for complex client mandates, or contribute to building new services and technical solutions.
  • Main office at Zurich-Enge railway station, with additional work locations in Affoltern am Albis and Zug.
  • Employment at 60-100 percent.
