DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at Coins, you architect and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for the most established crypto brand in the Philippines. You support a fully regulated platform with over 18 million users, holding both Virtual Currency and Electronic Money Issuer licenses from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). You work across infrastructure automation, security compliance, and operational excellence to power mission-critical financial services.

What you'll do

• Architect and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation, establishing Infrastructure as Code as the standard for all deployments.
• Implement and automate security controls within the CI/CD pipeline to meet BSP, ISO 27001, and SoC2 compliance through automated policy enforcement.
• Manage production-grade Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and Helm charts, focusing on high availability, auto-scaling, and resource optimization.
• Deploy and manage security tools including WAF, SIEM, XDR, and AWS CloudTrail, proactively monitoring for vulnerabilities and infrastructure threats.
• Provide robust infrastructure support for mission-critical applications, including data-intensive services and internal risk-monitoring tools.
• Explore and integrate LLM-based tools such as OpenAI and Bedrock to automate incident response, optimize scripts, and improve internal engineering productivity.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience maintaining high-availability services and supporting distributed cloud infrastructure.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and Helm for container orchestration.
• Deep proficiency in AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, and IAM.
• Strong production experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven track record in infrastructure hardening and supporting external audits, with a deep understanding of the shared responsibility model in cloud security.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for automation and building custom DevOps tooling.
• Hands-on experience managing RDS, Redis, and Kafka.

Nice to have

• Experience leveraging LLMs to build intelligent DevOps agents or automated alerting systems.
• Experience setting up infrastructure that supports large-scale data processing or risk-engine workloads.
• Direct experience dealing with central bank-level technical requirements such as those from the BSP.
• Fintech or crypto industry experience.
