Employee and Workplace Experience Intern

As an Employee and Workplace Experience Intern at Coinbase, you'll join the EWX team within People Success for a 12-week summer internship in 2027. You'll own an initiative that improves and informs how Coinbase designs, measures, and scales employee experiences across remote and in-person environments. Coinbase is remote-first but not remote-only, with quarterly in-person "surges" for intensive working sessions.

What you'll do

• Build or improve dashboards that track program effectiveness, engagement, and ROI across EWX initiatives, and surface insights to help the team make faster, better decisions.
• Identify manual, repetitive workflows and design AI-powered solutions to automate or streamline them, such as intake automation, reporting pipelines, or intelligent routing.
• Analyze participation data, employee feedback, and outcome signals to recommend improvements to existing programs or design new ones.
• Work with internal platforms to improve data quality, user experience, or reporting capability.
• Support change management strategies and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and initiatives.

What you bring

• You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field with demonstrated coursework or projects in process improvement.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and working familiarity with at least one project management or process mapping tool such as Asana, Jira, or Lucidchart.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and present data to inform operational decisions through coursework, prior internships, or personal projects.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to draft content, automate workflows, or prototype solutions.
• The ability to use generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

What we offer

• Target hourly rate of $40 USD (depending on work location).
