EVM Engineer - Magic Eden

As an EVM Engineer at Magic Eden, you'll revolutionize digital ownership on a multi-chain NFT platform operating across Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, and Bitcoin. You'll leverage your hands-on expertise in EVM development, off-chain systems, and multi-chain interaction to help set essential guidelines for the ecosystem and drive mass adoption of NFTs to the next billion users.

What you'll do

• Research, design, and implement existing and new EVM products for the NFT marketplace
• Contribute to Solidity development for Magic Eden's NFT marketplace
• Contribute to blockchain indexing systems with a focus on high performance and throughput
• Work closely with founders, designers, engineers, and security auditors to ensure systems are high quality and shipped to market on time

What you bring

• 6 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years working with Ethereum and EVM-based blockchains
• Smart contract development experience with Solidity, Foundry, Web3.js, and Ethers.js
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with Ethereum Development Suites such as Foundry, Truffle, Ganache, Hardhat, and Tenderly
• A proven track record writing secure, efficient, and gas-optimized smart contracts for decentralized applications on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible networks
• Familiarity with open-source contribution practices and demonstrated contributions to open-source Solidity projects
• Self-motivated with a fast-learning ability and a "get things done" mentality
