Experienced principal blockchain engineer with payment and exchange building experience

As an experienced principal blockchain engineer at OleOle, you build the core payment and exchange infrastructure for a social network and messaging platform focused on football (soccer). You own the cryptocurrency payment systems, wallet integrations, and smart contracts that power in-match gambling driven by live score updates. Your work is foundational to a sports super app built on a Stake.com-inspired blockchain strategy.

What you'll do

• Design, deploy, and audit secure and efficient smart contracts on Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, or Solana, using Solidity, Rust, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
• Build decentralized applications (dApps) and integrate cryptocurrency wallets such as MetaMask and Trust Wallet, managing crypto payments securely on the platform.
• Develop wallet solutions including multi-sig wallets and secure transaction management for high-volume micro-transactions.
• Implement Layer 2 scaling solutions such as Optimistic Rollups, zk-Rollups, and sidechains to handle gambling platform traffic efficiently.
• Integrate third-party blockchain tools, SDKs, and backend solutions using APIs and frameworks such as Django or Express.js.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers, compliance officers, and marketing teams to ensure smooth product launches.
• Apply smart contract auditing tools such as Mythril and Slither to ensure code security.

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional blockchain development experience, ideally with cryptocurrency payment systems or gambling/betting platforms.
• Deep understanding of blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms, token economics, and cryptocurrency payment flows.
• Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, JavaScript (Node.js), Python, or Go.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptographic principles (hash functions, public-key cryptography) and blockchain security best practices, including protection against 51% attacks, replay attacks, and double-spending.
• Experience designing and deploying large-scale blockchain systems or financial applications.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Proven track record of shipping audited, production-grade smart contracts.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryptocurrency exchanges or other fintech platforms.
• Industry certifications in blockchain development (e.g., Certified Blockchain Developer) or participation in blockchain-focused hackathons and projects.
• Understanding of football and international sports.
• Experience working on gambling or betting platforms.
