Financial Crime Intelligence Analyst - Crypto

As a Financial Crime Intelligence Analyst at BVNK, you join the Financial Crime Intelligence team to handle screening and transaction monitoring alerts that prevent bad actors from processing transactions through BVNK's platform. You'll conduct in-depth investigations into complex financial crime threats, take ownership of cases triggered by BVNK's financial crime systems, and focus primarily on BVNK's digital assets offering while supporting investigations that cross into fiat currency. You'll report to a Financial Crime Intelligence Lead.

What you'll do

• Review sanctions and watchlist screening alerts on entities and individuals on relevant lists
• Manage end-to-end financial crime investigations stemming from BVNK's transaction monitoring system, payment screening tools, blockchain analytics provider, and other triggers
• Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for submission to relevant authorities
• Seek out and escalate opportunities to enhance BVNK's control environment
• Work closely with colleagues responsible for BVNK's transaction monitoring systems, identifying and testing changes to monitoring rules

What you bring

• At least 1 year of experience in digital assets transaction monitoring within a regulated institution, with essential experience in a B2B context
• Experience reviewing sanctions and watchlist screening alerts within a regulated institution or digital asset setting
• Proficiency with tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic or TRM (or equivalent)
• Experience drafting and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
• A motivated and proactive approach to your work, taking pride in quality and detail
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving and demanding environment with competing priorities
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and manage evolving priorities to support the team's strategy
• A genuine interest in digital assets and a desire to expand your knowledge in this space
• Exceptional written and verbal English

• Familiarity with B2C environments
• Blockchain-related investigative certifications
