Founding Protocol Engineer - Prover Network

As a Founding Protocol Engineer at deCircle, you will design and implement core components of Prover Network, a platform for delegating zero-knowledge proof generation. You collaborate closely with Dr. Rao on protocol design and lead implementation while building out your team. As an early member, you help shape both the technical direction and culture of Prover Network, setting standards for how verifiable delegation of computation is executed globally.

What you'll do

• Design and implement highly optimized communication protocols between clients and GPUs
• Design and implement the consensus protocol for Prover Network
• Collaborate with Dr. Rao on core protocol architecture and decisions
• Lead implementation efforts and build out the necessary engineering team
• Work independently on open-ended, complex problems in protocol engineering

What you bring

• Deep familiarity with protocol engineering aspects
• Approximately 4 years of Rust expertise, including advanced concepts such as generics, lifetimes, memory management, and concurrency
• Familiarity with advanced benchmarking and testing frameworks such as prop-testing and fuzzing
• Experience working independently on open-ended problems
• A strong sense of responsibility and comfort with autonomous work

Nice to have

• Interest in zero-knowledge proof-based blockchain systems
• Experience writing smart contracts
• Familiarity with cryptography fundamentals such as hash functions and finite fields
• A passion for open-source software and eagerness to learn
• A strong interest in privacy
