FP&A Analyst

Hypernative is the proactive onchain security platform for enterprises and institutions. As the first FP&A Analyst, you will own budgeting, forecasting, and end-to-end performance analysis, working closely with the Director of Finance, the external CFO, and department heads across the company.

What you'll do

• Lead the annual budget process from scratch, working with department heads to build and challenge their plans
• Own the monthly budget vs. actual analysis: explain variances, flag overruns, and identify where the company can save
• Build and maintain financial models and rolling forecasts covering headcount, operating expenses, cash flow, and runway
• Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to support planning and strategic decisions
• Work with the external accounting team to ensure management reports reflect accurate numbers
• Improve and automate planning and reporting processes using AI tools

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, ideally in a tech or SaaS company
• Hands-on experience running an annual budget and budget vs. actual analysis across multiple departments
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build complex financial models independently
• A solid understanding of financial statements and key KPIs such as burn, runway, and gross margin
• Regular use of AI tools as part of your everyday work for analysis, modeling, or automation
• Comfort working with department heads and senior management, explaining numbers clearly in plain terms
• Independence, strong organizational skills, and a high sense of ownership
• Fluency in English
