Head of Product

As Head of Product at Dune, you will lead the company's transition into serving financial institutions that depend on onchain data to commit capital, assess risk, and enter new markets. You will decide which customers and use cases to serve first, identify valuable customer problems, and guide the company to deliver reliable products that create measurable value. You will report to the president and be an integral part of the leadership team, working closely with engineering, data, and commercial teams.

What you'll do

• Define the product strategy for market data and institutional customers, deciding which customers, problems, and products deserve attention.
• Own the product experience from data creation to delivery, setting clear requirements for coverage, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
• Understand how financial institutions consume data and turn their research, investment, trading, and operational needs into clear product priorities.
• Work with engineering and data teams to deliver reliable datasets, data feeds, and integrations that fit customer systems.
• Make explicit decisions about scope, quality, and delivery dates, resolving dependencies and keeping important work moving.
• Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and other teams on customer evaluations, pricing, and adoption, converting repeated customer needs into scalable products.
• Define how you measure success of your products and use the results to decide what to improve or stop.
• Define and improve operational practices.
• Leverage AI to improve customer research, operations, and feedback loops.
• Lead and develop a product team that takes responsibility for customer results.
• Say no and prioritize when necessary.

What you bring

• A background in either traditional or onchain markets, with fluency in financial jargon and knowledge of how market participants use and leverage data.
• Experience delivering technically complex data products that customers, ideally institutional, depend on.
• Understanding of market data and how financial institutions evaluate, purchase, integrate, and use it.
• Good knowledge of onchain markets, tokenized equities, and RWAs.
• The ability to connect customer needs with technical requirements and a sound business case.
• Strong product judgment, with the ability to make decisions with incomplete information and change them when evidence shifts.
• A willingness to stay close to the work, investigating problems, challenging assumptions, and helping teams resolve difficult details.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Startup experience, ideally as a founder or operator.
