Law Enforcement Specialist

As a Law Enforcement Specialist at Blockchain, you support the company's global compliance program, which focuses on financial crime prevention. You review and analyze law enforcement intelligence, conduct in-depth investigations, and report suspicious activity to Financial Intelligence Units. Blockchain has earned the trust of over 90 million wallet holders and more than 40 million verified users, facilitating over $1 trillion in crypto transactions since 2011.

What you'll do

• Review and analyze customer profiles identified by the Law Enforcement Response Team
• Complete complex investigations including tracing of crypto flows using blockchain analysis tools
• Draft high quality investigation reports and case files
• Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
• Identify common trends and typologies, and contribute to transaction monitoring and fraud rules tuning
• Contribute to reporting on key risk and performance indicators
• Conduct transaction monitoring using on-chain and other tools

What you bring

• Integrity as a core professional value
• Minimum 3 years of relevant financial crime experience
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidance governing financial crime, including AML laws and regulations in the US, EU, and rest of world
• Experience conducting complex financial crime investigations
• Experience working with high risk client groups
• Experience improving processes in head office and operations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational and time management abilities
• Bachelor's degree

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as ACAMS or ICA
• Professional experience with FinTechs or cryptocurrencies
