Magic Eden is seeking a Lead Product Designer, Growth to own the player-facing experiences for Dicey, a high-performance, real-time sports betting and casino platform built on blockchain. You'll design the moments that get players in the door, keep them coming back, and build long-term trust: onboarding, first-deposit flows, rewards, progression, challenges, and lifecycle messaging. This is a growth role measured on player behavior, not polish, though the work should be beautiful.
What you'll do
- Own growth surfaces end to end, from signup and deposit through onboarding, first-session experience, rewards, tiers, challenges, races, and re-engagement, from concept through shipped pixels.
- Design behavior, not screens: frame the player problem, form a hypothesis about what changes behavior, design the intervention, and measure whether it worked.
- Design for experimentation by building variants meant to be tested, partnering with data science on readouts, and shipping the winning design even if it isn't your original idea.
- Prototype with AI to get to something clickable and real in hours, so decisions are made on working artifacts instead of arguments.
- Hold the line on quality and fairness by pushing for reward and retention mechanics that build long-term player trust rather than extracting from players who can't afford it.
- Elevate the craft across the team by growing the design system, raising the bar with feedback, and mentoring designers as the team scales.
- Partner across the company, working day to day with product, engineering, data science, VIP/BD, and lifecycle to influence roadmap and strategy, not just execution.
What you bring
- 7+ years in product design on consumer products, with at least one stretch inside a hyper-growth startup where you can point to impact you personally drove.
- A growth track record: you've moved a real metric (activation, conversion, retention, monetization) and can walk through the hypothesis, the design, the result, and what you'd do differently.
- Genuine passion for iGaming: casino, sportsbook, or poker experience, professionally or as a player, with opinions on which products do it well and why.
- Behavioral psychology fluency: understanding of reward schedules, variable reinforcement, progression and status systems, framing and loss aversion, applied in real product work.
- Demonstrated AI-native building: prototypes, tools, agents, or workflows you've built yourself, with a view on where AI helps in design and where it currently falls apart.
- Exceptional craft: modern, distinctive UI with real polish, and mastery of Figma plus whatever prototyping stack gets you to a working thing fastest.
- Crypto enthusiasm: comfort with crypto and Web3 mechanics, and interest in what they unlock for gaming.
- A builder's temperament: high autonomy, high ambiguity tolerance, low ego, fast.
- Sharp communication: you can defend design decisions to leadership, give feedback that makes other designers better, and build consensus without watering the work down.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation and equity package
- Flexible PTO
- Remote-first company
