As a Manager in Digital Product Development focused on Custody and Tokenisation at EY, you will shape, deliver, and scale digital asset custody solutions at the intersection of DLT, digital money, and market infrastructure. You join EY's Financial Services Tech Consulting team, working across banking, capital markets, insurance, and wealth management clients as they navigate the shift from pilots toward real products and operating models. The role is based in London with hybrid work flexibility.

What you'll do

  • Support the design of custody architectures leveraging MPC/HSM key management, secure wallet infrastructure, and role-based controls.
  • Develop high-quality production-ready solutions for banks and asset managers.
  • Integrate third-party platforms to enable straight-through processing from order to settlement.
  • Conduct market research and support business cases for digital custody, tokenised funds, and digital cash initiatives.
  • Define client use cases spanning custody of digital native assets, tokenised MMFs, and tokenised cash instruments.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into product requirements, target operating models, and phased delivery roadmaps.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of digital custody solutions across multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, operations, risk, legal, and compliance.
  • Oversee complex workflows including onboarding, custody, settlement, corporate actions, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and audit-ready, aligned to internal risk frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for senior client stakeholders, translating technical complexity into clear executive-level narratives.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, operations, and control functions to deliver end-to-end custody capabilities.
  • Support senior leaders in external engagements with industry consortia, fintech vendors, and ecosystem partners.

What you bring

  • Approximately 8 to 12 years of experience in financial services, including asset servicing, custody, capital markets, trading, payments, or operations.
  • A strong understanding of crypto, digital assets, DLT, and how these technologies impact custody and operating models.
  • Hands-on experience with wallet infrastructure such as Fireblocks, Metaco, Taurus, or BitGo.
  • Familiarity with institutional custody solutions.
  • Awareness of key regulatory and market trends affecting digital custody and tokenised assets.
  • Demonstrated experience in technology and product delivery, working across cross-functional teams.
  • Practical exposure to asset servicing, post-trade, settlement, or custody-related workflows.
  • Delivery of custody solutions for tokenised funds or digital native assets on public or permissioned blockchains, including MPC/HSM key management and atomic DvP.
  • Experience bridging legacy custody and cash systems with tokenised assets, including ISO 20022 / SWIFT event orchestration and reconciliation for hybrid flows.
  • Implementation of digital cash settlement solutions for deposit tokens, stablecoins, or CBDCs in regulated environments.
  • Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
  • A track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in tackling new topics.

Nice to have

  • A good range of influencing skills.
  • A constructive and action-oriented approach.
  • A self-starting attitude with the ability to think and act quickly.
  • Experience working in a client-facing professional services environment.
  • An ability to guide and coach team members to help them develop their EY careers.
  • Experience operating in a project-based environment.

What we offer
