Manager Kapitalmarkt-Compliance / Crypto Assets Compliance - Consulting (Financial Services) (w/m/d)

As a Manager in Capital Markets Compliance and Crypto Assets Compliance at EY, you advise banks, insurance companies, and financial services providers on regulatory requirements and help them transform their compliance processes. You lead multidisciplinary consulting projects across our offices in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Hamburg, or Berlin, working with innovative technologies to address evolving regulatory challenges.

What you'll do

• Advise national and global banks, financial services providers, and asset managers on capital markets compliance regulations, including market manipulation, insider trading, conflicts of interest, and investor protection, as well as crypto assets regulation covering trading of crypto securities, brokerage, and custody
• Lead multidisciplinary consulting projects supporting clients in transforming and digitising their business models and compliance processes, including automation of monitoring activities, trade surveillance, and conflict-of-interest management using robotics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
• Create proposal materials and prepare and execute market and client initiatives related to current regulatory developments, such as implementation of the MiCA Regulation, ESMA Guidelines including MiFID II/MiFIR and MAR, and updates to WpHG and MaComp
• Further develop our compliance services and expand our network in banking, capital markets, wealth, and asset management sectors; serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders within the EY Financial Services EMEIA network and external stakeholders such as FinTechs and RegTechs
• Lead and support the professional and personal development of colleagues through project work and internal training

What you bring

• A degree in law, economics, social sciences, or related fields (a PhD is welcome)
• At least four years of professional experience in capital markets compliance and/or crypto assets regulation, ideally in an audit firm, consulting company, or financial services firm in a regulatory role
• Experience working with trading or compliance IT systems and knowledge of typical products and financial instruments are advantageous; fluent German and English (C1 level minimum in both)
